I received my MBA (emphasis on marketing) from Southern Oregon University in 2021. I have worked as a content marketer for more than 15 years handling everything from e-commerce, analytics, website design, email marketing, print and digital collateral, video production, ad campaigns. I am fluent in most programs in the Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) CMS (WordPress, Magento, Concrete5, MODX), Salesforce, Email Marketing (Mailchimp, Exact Target), and ad campaigns (Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager). I have created catalogs, websites (e-commerce), and product videos and oversaw a very successful IMC at three different companies.



I began my professional career as a sports journalist. This was a goal of mine since I was a kid. I wanted to eventually work my way into a role at a national or even a global publication. From 1998 until 2005, I worked for three different publications and spent the bulk of that time working as a page designer and copyeditor. This became a labor of love, designing sections and meeting a nightly deadline. I was fortunate enough to work with some amazing reporters and editors. My sections also won several state and regional honors, often competing against much larger newspapers.



Building a website takes more than just knowing code. You have to understand the business model as well and what the messaging is. I like to work very closely with the principals to help them target their audience with a clean, concise website.



Whether it is crafty together a story for a newspaper, writing a press release, or interpreting a technical document, writing has always been something I thoroughly enjoy. I published my first book last summer and have spent a good portion of my career as a writer, whether it was a journalist or a marketer. If it involves writing, count me in every time.
