I am currently taking courses for an MBA (emphasis on marketing). I have worked in the marketing department of a small, family-owned business for 15 years. I handled the multimedia marketing, which includes web, graphic, video, photography, and copy writing. I have created catalogs, web sites (e-commerce), product videos and a very successful email campaign that was part of the IMC.
I spent eight years in the industry as both a writer/reporter and page designer. My sports sections won several state and regional awards for best design.
Building a website takes more than just knowing code. You have to understand the business model as well and what the messaging is. I like to work very closely with the principals to help them target their audience with a clean, concise website.
